Adolescent Standers (manual and powered)

Adolescent Standers (manual and powered)

Quest 88's adult electric standing frames can accommodate adolescents and larger children, from a user height of 1.2 metres upwards. Manual handling issues can be elliviated by using an electrically assisted harness to lift the user from sitting to standing. This enables parents and therapists to concentrate on positioning and encouragement as the user is raised.

Whilst this is can be a larger initial investment, an adapted adult stander is designed to last, and maybe the only stander you will ever need. Please see our Adult Standing Frame section for more details.

Quest 88 Therapy Benches

Therapy benches can play a significant part in helping children to progress from floor-based therapy to kneeling and from kneeling through to standing. Wider benches provide sufficient surface area for a child to support themselves
where capable.

By adding or removing supports, children can be supported as little or as much as possible to facilitate the child and the therapist's requirements.

The addition of hip, thoracic or knee supports enables children to be positively positioned, thus allowing the therapist to concentrate on other skill development, such as hand to mouth and cross body co-ordination.

Safe and reliable
Quest 88 therapy bench fabrics, foams and adhesives have been tested in combination and conform to BS5852 Crib 5. The covers can be easily cleaned, whilst the upholstery has been carefully designed to offer superb levels of comfort and support.

The surface fabric has a slip resistant quality making it ideal for children who use dynamic splints. Quest 88 uses child friendly lacquers for a perfect finish and high-grade plywood for strength and durability.

Colour Options: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green

Quest 88 Nesting Benches

Quest 88 Nesting Benches

Nesting benches can be used in many ways to support therapeutic activities. The following describes a few examples:

1.Use one bench as a seat and one bench as a support surface for play or fine motor activities. The child can remain seated, or the activity can require the child to move from sit-to-stand.

2.Pull-to-stand and then stand with the support of the appropriate height bench and/or cruise around the bench for play.

3.Stagger the height and distances of the benches to encourage multi-level support surface cruising and negotiation.

4.Use one of the benches as a footrest to promote alignment and lower extremity weight-bearing when the child's feet do not touch the ground.

5.Use a single bench to practice ascending and/or descending a step or side-stepping up and down.

6.Stagger the heights of the bench to simulate steps and practice going up and down a set of stairs, crawling or steppiing.
